Redbrick is the parent organization of a portfolio of disruptive digital companies. Headquartered in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, we’ve scaled from local start-up to global name in a few short years, conceptualizing new business ideas, acquiring established businesses, and growing them to super-scaled profitability—all thanks to the people we hire.

  • 3 portfolio companies and growing
  • 1 amazing shared service team
  • 60+ employees

One of our 3 portfolio companies, Assembly is our digital publishing arm. Powered by dedicated content experts and an in-house media team, we write and publish fact-driven content from the entertaining to the educational across 5 popular websites. Our Assembly team is 27 people strong and borrows from Redbrick’s shared HR, finance and marketing services.

“If you’re willing to work hard and want the opportunity to take ownership of a project or goal, this is the place to be. Leadership does a great job of letting you take charge and making sure you’re on the right track. We take risks at Redbrick - we build new technologies. If something isn’t possible, we try to figure out how to make it work. That’s pretty rad”

—Nash, Assembly

We think of the office as a second home and believe you should enjoy what you work on—and who you work on it with. We cheerlead your goals and accomplishments and feel invested in your future. Flexible work hours and health and wellness funding (so you can get your gym membership or race registration paid for, no excuses) are a few of the perks of working at Redbrick. Plus, with regular team events, from ping-pong tournaments to regular Friday post-work gatherings, work feels a little more like family.

What does a day look like in my role?

We get it: You need to know what you’re signing up for before you sign up, right? This is what you need to know: As Junior Media Buyer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Competitive research.

  • Ad account audits.
  • Creating powerful ad copy.
  • Coordinating split tests.
  • Analyzing data and performance metrics.

After 1 week:

  • You get what we do, understand how important your role is and are ready to dive off the deep end and help make a positive impact on the team.

After 1 month:

  • You have gone through a cycle of campaign research and creation, watched the campaigns launched and understand why things worked and why they didn’t.
  • You have gotten creative with new campaigns and ideas.
  • Built campaigns for multiple ad platforms.

After 6 months:

  • You have made a direct impact on our business and own an important role in driving new growth.
  • You are consistently looking for ways to optimize your funnel of research and campaigns.
  • You understand campaign performance and how we optimize through multilayered data.
  • You have new and ambitious ideas that can potentially help drive additional growth.

What we would like to see in you?
Every Redbricker has 3 things in common: We’re curious, hungry and good-humoured. We try our best to balance hard work with good, old-fashioned fun. As a Junior Media Buyer with Assembly, there are extra superpowers we’re on the lookout for:
